Influenced by transience and surrealist expressionism, LaRue explores a vibrantly dream-like glimpse into an intimately serene scene in her most recent painting, entitled Liminal Contentness.
Sporadic color schemes and surrealism are common threads amoung many of LaRue's paintings, creating an almost collage-like appearance that is mirrored across the mutiple mediums that she explores. Unconventional spirituality and mysticism symbology manifest prominently in both individual works of art as well as collections, and act as a root system of her visual expression.
